On July 2, Farizon Xingzhi, a next-generation light truck of Farizon Auto, a new energy vehicle brand under Geely Commercial Vehicles, was released in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province. This is the first vehicle developed on the “Yunjie”, a dedicated smart architecture for new energy light trucks, which offers three new energy power modes: battery electric, extended range and hydrogen fuel cell.
On the same day of the release of Farizon Xingzhi, Farizon Auto signed strategic cooperation agreements with cooperative partners including Shanghai Bestpath, JD Logistics, Suning.com, Times Wisdom Technology and Shiqiao Group. Under the 1,200-vehicle contract signed with Shanghai Bestpath, Farizon Auto, for the first time, applied the hydrogen fuel cell technology to its light trucks. It must be mentioned that the 1,200 hydrogen fuel cell light trucks under this contract will all work on the PRISMA series fuel cell system of REFIRE. In terms of vehicle hardware, the lightweight design of the vehicle body reduces the weight by 15% compared to models of the same level, with the strength greatly improved and the carrying capacity increased.
Against the background of Peak Carbon Dioxide Emission and Carbon Neutrality, developing the new energy vehicle industry has become an important initiative to enhance the competitiveness of China’s automobile industry.
